This cache is near the Don Mackey Memorial Site on the Blodgett Canyon Trail.
This is a great site to remember a fallen Hero. As you will see on the Memorial, Don Mackey gave his life to save others. In 1994, Mackey, 34, directed eight firefighters to safety and urged six more up the hill before he returned to the blaze to assist others in the tragic fire on Storm King Mountain in Colorado. He and 11 crew members became fatally trapped in the 2,000-acre firestorm that began as a slow moving 50-acre brushfire.
To find the cache you will need to know the dates given:
Born: May AB,CDEF
Died: July GH,IJKL
Here is the formula for finding the decon container:
North 46*CE.IFC

I placed this cache with very little snow on the ground in late February but I would put Winter Difficulty at 3.5 depending on how much snow is on the ground>
NOTE: Make sure to sign the cache logbook, as online "Found It" logs without a corresponding entry in the logbook will be deleted.
