Geocache Description:

The Heart of the Capital. A nice little stroll around the parliamentary centre. The cache is close to a few other caches and is good for the kids (however WATCH OUT FOR THE ANTS NEST AT WP1).

Park nearby (a good place to park is at Tank Engines Capital Circle (GCF299) cache) and walk to the first waypoint . There are a couple of roads to cross, but unless its peak hour (afternoon or morning) you should be fine. Each waypoint is clearly marked by a sign with historical or interesting
information.

Start at the Woodland Community - at S35 18.420 E149 07.241.**WARNING - WATCH OUT FOR THE ANTS NEST. Stand back from the sign.***
Determine the year European Setters arrived (ignore the plurality of it)

The second waypoint is at S35 18.487 E149 07.189.
Determine the Year Canadian High Commission was established.

The Third waypoint is at S35 18.613 E149 07.236.
Determine the year the picture of the Lodge was taken.

The Fourth waypoint is at S35 18.670 E149 07.343.
Determine the year of the Griffin Plan of Canberra.

Now take a seat and do your calculations.

To calculate the Final location of the cache:

South: Add together the result of WP1 and WP2. Ignore the 1000 digit and then subtract 78 from the result to get the final South decimal of the GZ

East: Add together the result of WP3 and WP4 Ignore the 1000 digit and then subtract 482 from the result to get the final East decimal of the GZ

Happy Hunting. The cache is a small container, so only small swaps please. (Arachnophobes watch out for the big plastic spider in the container)
