Sondek Park in South Brunswick is a small athletic
complex that has something for everyone (except maybe enough
parking during baseball season :). There are ball fields,
picnic areas, a playground, restrooms (in season) and a
nature trail. On certain days there is even a place for the
citizens of South Brunswick to drop off their trash for
transfer. We were unable to find out much more about the
history of this area. [We have been told that the adjacent
area was a regional dump until the early 1960’s- now capped,
hence the giant mound.]
This is
a two stage multi. The first stage has the coordinates for the
second stage. The walk is not far but the trail seems to disappear
and some bushwhacking is needed. The area has a few thorns,
possible PI and mud. The cache’s name will become apparent during
your walk.
The cache is located in the woods
in an unlighted area. Therefore the hours are from Dawn to Dusk.
Please do not disobey the rules of the township.
The
cache will start with a First to Find pin, a TB, geo coin, geo pin
and lots of small goodies. Please rehide the caches well and watch
for muggles especially in ball season.
