Geocache Description:


OK, compared to the Mississippi river that runs through the town where I grew up (Minneapolis), the San Diego river is barely a stream. But it's one of the biggest and prettiest rivers around these parts so we might as well make the most of it! This cache is in honor of this lovely "river".

The cache just off a nice little paved trail that runs along the river in Mission Valley. This particular stretch of the trail is easily accessible at either end from the trailheads listed below. Cache is a camoed lock 'n' lock container. It is only about 10 feet off the paved trail at the base of a triple-trunk tree whose bark is falling off.
