This cache in honor of my sweet little guy Mattie, who left for the
Rainbow Bridge last summer. Initial items in the cache are all dog
related (lots of toys for dogs!), so bring your furry child along
with you on the hunt! Don't worry, there are things for humans in
there too!
The cache is located in Banksville Park, a little park just off
the Greentree exit of 279. The park closes at 11pm and is of course
dog friendly - just be sure they are on a leash and you bring along
your poopie bags. There is an unfinished tennis court there that is
fenced in, which is a perfect place to let them off the leashes to
run. Also there are some wooded trails behind the courts and ball
field, and this is where you'll be searching for the cache itself.
The area was not overgrown in the least when we dropped the cache,
but I wonder what it is going to look like in the summer!
There is a $10 gift certificate to PetSmart in the cache for the
first to find. Be sure to rehide the cache well when you leave!
I've also included a Travel Bug (TB1CZEG) attached to a keychain
bearing Mattie's picture - can't wait to see how far the little guy
goes!
Please be careful! It seems that the muggle teenagers
nearby have found a place to drink and smash the remains of their
parties. WATCH FOR GLASS!!!! I have cleaned up as much as I can,
but each time I go back, I find more and more glass broken. The
cache is not disturbed, thank Gods, but they continue to leave
their waste behind.
Keep an eye on little paws. Carry a bag, and please take out
what you can. Mattie would appreciate it!
