Geocache Description:

A marked trail in the Stirling Ranges National Park. Allow 2-3 hours for return journey.

The cache is located at the summit of Mt Trio.

From Chester Pass Road follow the signs to the Mt Trio carpark.

The trail starts from the carpark and follows a gully between two of the peaks. It is a hard 40 minutes slog to the top of the gully then a more pleasant stroll along the saddle to the central peak.

The track is not as civilised as the Bluff Knoll track. However the views provide a more central outlook of the Stirling Ranges.

Be prepared always for a change in the weather. The wind can blow hard along the top ridge. However there is always a spot out of the wind on top.

Plenty of birds. Plenty of wildflowers. Less foot traffic than Bluff Knoll.
