This cache is placed at one of the numerous great trailheads in the San Francisco East Bay area. From here you can hike for miles in the Briones Regional Park, which has hundreds of acres of lovely, peaceful hills.
This trailhead has plenty of parking, although when the kiosk is manned (typically just on weekends) there is a $5 fee, and $1 fee for dogs. Park curfew hours are 10pm to 5am, and the gate is open 8am to sunset.
Just inside the gate is a nice drinking fountain and also a large bulletin board with interesting background information. Trail maps are available in a box at the bulletin board, or you can print one at home here:

The cache container is a small cylinder about 3 inches in length. Press the top and twist left to open; press and twist right to lock.
