The Second
annual
Brighton State Recreation
Area
"Spring Fling"
Event
Event hours are from 10:00
a.m. to TBD
Sunday May 6th
2006.
Once again the MI-DNR and MiGO
join forces to attract all sorts of outdoor recreation groups
together for one huge event.
Over one thousand people are
expected to show at this years event.
Over 30 outdoor
groups have shown an interest in setting up a booth.
A 'Celebration of Spring' event. Its purpose is to draw
people out of their homes after a long winter and bring them to the
park to experience many different activities. This event will
take place at the Bishop Lake Day Use Complex.
First: To
bring Geocachers to the area for local geocaching and to an event
where they can learn about other outdoor activities and
organizations that share the same love for the outdoors as we
do.
Second: MiGO
members have the opportunity to help, by promoting the family
friendly sport of geocaching to other outdoor enthusiasts and their
organizations. You can volunteer by taking a group or family on
their first Geocache hunt down the beautiful trails at Brighton
State Recreation area.
