“The Mission”, should you choose to accept it is to “Trek”
to “The Town” and pit your wits against the fiendish “Bag Woman”
and her trusty “Dead Squad”. So pack your bags and point your
“Wheels” in our direction and enter your own personal “Run for the
Money” and “Mastermind” the “Recovery” of the fabled “Boomerang”.
“The Question” is: Are “The Contenders” up to “The Challenge”? “The
Choice” is yours. This year we are inviting teams to dress up in
their best spy outfits. This will add to the experience over the
four major missions of the weekend. The posted coordinates will
lead you to “The Vault” and you can than seal “The Deal”.
Accommodation is available in the grounds of “The Bunker” for
the reasonable price of $5 per person (children and adults) per
night. Council regulations do not allow sleeping in the hall.
Alternative acommodation for those not wishing to get wet or camp
at The Bunker is available from any of these
local motels
Equipment you may need includes:
- Torch
- GPS
- Digital image capture device (camera), either stand alone or in
a phone/PDA etc
- Umbrella and/or Raincoat
- Spoon
- Towel
- Dry clothes (it rains on long weekend in Dubbo, particularly on
Geocachers)
- Sense of humour
- Camping gear if required
- Tech equipment optional
Please bring printouts/gpx files of any caches that you wish to
attempt while in the area. There will be some cache pages available
in hard and soft copy but the more prepared you are the easier it
will be for you.
You are allowed to briefly break your anonymity by posting a
"Will Attend" log and indicate numbers.
There will be opportunities for optional additional missions in
the form of set caches with bonus points awarded. Should you have
any spare time during the 24 hours of The Mission feel free to
cache around Dubbo to further your quest for the fabled
“Boomerang”.
Spys are to assemble at The Bunker by 1200 for further
instructions. Registrations will be conducted between 1100 and
1200.
