Many of my caches are kid-friendly, this one is not! If you have children with you, keep them on the road/trail. The last 100 ft to the cache are near a steep cliff.
I stop at this spot every time I hike or bike through here. At first I came for the panoramic view but the more time I spent gazing, the more I began to think, until this became my favorite thinking spot. We all have 'em, don't we?
The cache is a medium pill bottle, that can be seen from the right angle. Once you find it, sit down, log yourself, then ponder things for awhile.
Lately the view has been of the restoration of the river 
, soon it'll be a great view of the thriving north fork on the American River. Complete with boaters, kayakers, fishermen, sun bathers... I can't wait.
Do be careful getting to and fro' this one, you don't need too get close to the edge at any time.
