bluelamb03: Finally got the weather I wanted and made the trip up to the Mahingan lookout, an absolutely lovely day with lots of people on the trail. I was here specifically to retrieved my "Bluelamb's Summer Vacation" cache, http://coord.info/GCWA02, which was ten meters on the wrong side of this trail and was axed for that, but when I got here I found that all the previous logs were quite correct. Someone had found this cache and instead of placing it back down the slope, hiding cachers from casual view on this busy trail, it was sitting under a pine tree at the top of the slope, plain as day! No wonder 3-Bearss couldn't find it when he went out with a replacement ammo can, it was nowhere near the GZ!
Disappointing....
Such blatant disregard for basic caching etiquette and the fact that it would be my only cache remaining on this difficult trail convinced me that it's time was done. It's been a good ten years, time to go.....
