Geocache Description:

Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area is open 7 am - 9 pm. The gate closes automatically so you must be out by 9 pm. There is no entrance or park fee. (Winter skiers pay a trail fee.) There are 706 acres of preserved and restored wooded hills, wetlands and prairie areas with a variety of hiking trails. A 60 foot observation tower sits atop one of the highest points offering visitors a spectacular view. There are three picnic areas, water and bathrooms. It's a wonderful place to explore! Sadly, our four-legged friends are not allowed here.

This cache is located near a hiking trail but you will need to do a little heavy breathing to get there. Don't you just love these hills! Depending on your path, you may have to do battle with a few thorns.

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Jim Janowak of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resouce managed lands require permission by means of a notification form.
