Cache - small clik Lock sandwich box
This cache can be collected on the way to my Frys Hill GCQB59 cache, or as an alternative for those who don’t fancy the longer & steeper climb to the Frys Hill cache. On the way, when you stop to catch your breath, you will be able to admire the grand view over the rooftops of medieval Axbridge.
Free parking is available for 1 hour in Axbridge Square or use the Town car park in Old Church Rd which is also free with unrestricted day long parking.
From the Square ascend the church steps & follow the footpath to the left of the church to the bypass. Cross the road by the old Railway Station building to some steep steps with a footpath sign to Shipham. The steps are the steepest part of the climb, it gets easier after this.
The hide is fairly obvious & GPS reception is excellent. I suggest you take a pair of gloves & or a stick to combat any stinging nettles in the vicinity.
