Van Saun Park in Paramus, NJ is often packed on the weekends. There is a zoo, a mini train, a picnic area, a little garden (at the historic Washington Spring), a duck pond (Walden Pond), pony rides and a jogging track. As popular as the park may be, not too many people seem to know about the hiking trail running along the edge of the park. This strip of woods is the only part of the park with any uphill terrain to speak of.
Park entrances are on Forest Avenue and Continental Avenue. The closest parking area to the cache is right by the Parkside Cafe. Please note that the two closest parking lots to the zoo, including the aforementioned parking lot, are reserved for county residents. If you're not from around here, you could park at the next lot and join the hiking trail from there. That isn't a long walk and the further you go from the zoo, the easier it gets to find a parking space.

The cache contains several small items and a few foreign coins. If you're bringing something for the cache, remember that the container is small and only small items will fit. Please sign and date the log book, and re-hide the cache in its original location when done.
