Geocache Description:


The "Boonies" series of caches are designed to get everyone to explore areas you may have never traveled before. Get out and get some exercise and enjoy nature!

This cache is located in the southern unit of Grant Woods Forest Preserve. This beautiful area is a mixture of wet prairie, mesic prairie, and oak woodlands. Hikers, cyclists, cross-country skiers, and pets on leashes will enjoy this scenic six-mile trail system. Grant Woods is open year-round from 6:30 a.m. - sunset (Is that a typo? ).

It's a good long hike to the cache. TWO4AGEOFUN also has caches hidden along the way! Check those out, too!

Bring some trade items and something to write with to sign the log. Have fun on your journey.
