Zombie Thrills Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Reviewer of the Cache: After much discussion and waiting for things to change where this area could be open once again it has been decided to go ahead and archive the caches on Zombie Road with this being one of them.

If, or when the area is ever opened once again the previous owners will have "first dibs" on the locations they had prior to archival. Just drop *gln, or I a note if things change and we will go from there.

Thanks,

Geocache Description:

This cache was placed to encourage you to enjoy the beauty of the area, which offers a wide variety of things for you to explore including a river, high bluffs, hills and valleys, and some old foundations and other evidence of activity from days gone by.

The cache is located on Zombie Road along a mostly flat hiking/biking trail with a short not-so-steep climb to the cache. Zombie Road can be accessed from the Al Foster trail at N38 32.741 W090 36.505. Because of the distance I have rated the terrain a 2.
For more information on Zombie Road see RGS' cache Spring at Zombie Road (GC11AY2).

Access to the Al Foster Trail can be made from the Glencoe, or the Sherman Beach parking areas, but would recommend parking at Glencoe which is at the west end for this cache.

NOTICE: Please be respectful of the posted park hours. If you enter the park after hours you are trespassing. If you are stopped you can be ticketed or arrested and will put the future of geocaching in the parks in jeopardy

Special permission to hide caches in St. Louis County parks is NOT needed as long as the Groundspeak rules are followed. "Blanket Permission" has been worked out in advance with the park service. DO NOT CALL THE PARK as they cannot handle the calls. The Groundspeak cache reviewer does need to know exactly how and where the caches are hidden and what type of containers are used. The geocaching liaisons will notify the park service of new caches. Remember NO AMMO BOXES or PVC PIPE caches.
