Haldon
Forest Park is situated on the outskirts of Exeter. It sits
on a flint ridge to the South of the city and dominates the skyline
for miles around. With over 3500 acres of woodland it is a
wonderful playground for all the family.
It has recently been awarded with £760,000 from the Active
England lottery distribution fund, managed by Sport England. This
money has allowed the creation of new trails, car park and
toilet block as well as adding value to these trials with play
equipment, sensory interpretation, seating and signage.

This multi cache is set in the Mamhead area of Haldon Forest and
takes in the new Sensory Trail. The trail is smooth and hard packed
and suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. The final cache is
just a few feet from the path but it not accessable to
wheelchairs.
The above coordinates are for the suggested free parking. To
find the final it will be necessary to visit the listed co-ords and
answer the questions, this will then enable you to discover the
location of the final.
The walk will take you to two view points with great views of
Exeter and the Exe Estuary it will also take you very close to
Wadders excellent
Obelisk View cache.
The views are so good I will take the unusual step (for me
anyway) and recommend doing it during the hours of daylight to make
the most of the view.
