Geocache Description:


IN 1934 the PWA Funds went to the construct the Band Shell. Then on May 30, 1934 it was dedicated to the City of Clay Center. In the year 1973 a tornado went through town and damaged the Band Shell. So for many yesrs it wasn't used . Than in 1996 it was restored and redeadicated on September 28, 1996. Now every Wednesday Eveing in the summer you can come and listen to the City band play. If you like horse shoes you can come play with some of the locals. This is a great place to have family get togethers. Kids of all ages will enjoy it. The last saturday in September is a celebration called Piotique. You can come see the Old Car Nuts Display their Antique cars.The Army tank is in recognition of C Company 69th Armor. Nalt. Guard Unit Please Bring your own pencile.
