This cache contains Chicago Geo C-A-C-H-E Game Cards that are
needed to play the game.
Note that this cache does not include a clue
Feel free to log your find even if you don't want to play.
Rules
In order to ensure that people don’t first find a handful of Game
Clues and then choose a Game Card that fits those clues, I have
some rules:
- One Game Card per GC.com account.
- Register the card by entering the card number on the cache's
log sheet and in your Geocaching.com log entry.
- If you find a Game Clue cache before obtaining a Game Card, I
will assign you a Game Card number, enter it as a note, and email
you a Game Card.
Playing the Game
Periodically, a Chicago Geo C-A-C-H-E: Game Clue cache will be
hidden. Use the clue that is located on the log sheet or cache
cover and mark that word off on your card. Note that this cache
does not include a clue.
When you have 5 squares marked in a row (either horizontal,
vertically, or diagonally) or have completely filled in the card
(blackout), place a note on this cache. I will confirm your card
using my copy of your Game Card.
The first game player to get have 5 squares in a row or a
blackout will win a prize (see below). One prize per person.
Steps for finding this
cache:
Step 1) Near the given coordinates is safe parking for this forest
preserve. Suggest that you park on the street.
The coordinates will take you to a tree. On the tree is what
appears to be a old light fixture and a silver marker with a 4
digit number starting with 17(17??). Use this 4 digit number as
xxxx for step #2 calculations.
Step 2) Let xxxx – 1277 = yyy and xxxx – 1050 = zzz.
Step 3) Find cache at N 41 51.yyy W 088 08.zzz
Prizes:
One prize per GC.com account.
