t.a.folk: The cycle track has changed a lot since we placed this cache. The ramps have long disappeared and the undergrowth around GZ has also changed a great deal, so much so it will be very difficult to get to the cache in the summer due to the bracken growth. We therefore have decided to archive the cache.

Geocache Description:

A short 3 stage Multi of about 1mile from car back to car .Location is near Watchmoor Wood at eastern edge of Moors Valley Country Park.
The feature seen during walk (but not entered ) is the Forestry Commission's "North Shore " type bike park .

Cache placed with the knowledge of the Forestry Commission and under the conditions of the New Forest and East Dorset Forestry Commission Permission Agreement. GAGB Agreement
N.B. as part of this agreement it is not permitted to seek this cache during the hours of darkness.

When this cache was placed in 2007 its feature was the bikers park with elevated wooden ramps and jumps that looked rather scarey .
That building of that course was paid for by the Forestry Commission's PROGRESS project.
The materials and civil engineering expertise were given.
Bike groups provided(provide) the manpower.

Update 2019 .The wooden ramps etc have gone from what was an extreme off trail bike park .
The steep slope area of what was the extreme bike park course is still used for casual off trail biking even though the ramps have gone.There were two bikers there when we checked all the stages November 2019,but when walking near flat terrain of the cache route dog walkers are more likly to be seen than bikers.
We will not change the cache title on this old cache.

For a few years there had been two location options for stage two .
The original question for stage 2 was for an emergency phone number on a sign at a location overlooking the bike course. When the sign went missing we produced an alternative location and question for stage two featuring a picnic table.We left both questions as options on the cache page,because we were hoping the phone number sign would be replaced .
Time passes and with the removal of the bike park ramps the phone number was never replaced.
As of 08/11/2019 the original question for stage two has been removed from the cache page and only the picnic table question is left on the cache page for stage two.

Decemeber 2019.Headline co-ords changed to reflect the current guidelines.
In case you are curious:- When this cache was first published it was acceptable that that the headline co-ords could be for parking, and much later the guidelines were changed and for Multi caches the headline co-ords had to be for the first stage. As the guidelines were changed after the publication of this cache it was “grandfathered” The reason that the headline co-ords have now been changed to the first stage, rather than the car parking is because we had to use a different second stage because the notice boards had been removed. As the co-ords where more than 160 mtrs it required the assistance of a reviewer which meant that the “grandfathered” status was no longer protected.

Parking co-ords N 50.51.078.W 001.49.038 is for free parking area for a few cars located in gravel pull in off the south side of the B3081 Ringwood to Verwood road .

The cache is about 18 paces from the path
The cache is a small clip & clock container
Note .Since forestry work during late 2012 bracken has grown at G.Z
so the final few meters to G.Z.is difficult during the summer months.
