Clifton Bridge Temperature Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Alba15: This cache has been unavailable for a considerable period and as the owner has not responded to logs I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "As the cache owner, you are also responsible for physically checking your cache periodically, and especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to hunt for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable time - normally a few weeks - in which to arrange a visit to your cache. In the event that a cache is not being properly maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time, we may archive or transfer the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Geocache Description:

Second in a series of Caches along this River Trent Walk, but you can just do a quick Cache and Dash also, Park in the River users Car Park opposite the Ambulance Station just off the A52/A453 Clifton Bridge, watch you height and you sump as you drive into the Car Park, it is rather steep! Bus Stop nearby also, All Clifton Buses, Loughbough, and Airport (Skylink).

Clifton Bridge feeds in and out of Nottingham it is always busy. But why not have a nice walk, cycle ride, or even ride your horse along the River Trent, and take in 4 Caches while you are enjoying your time. (See Colonel Clifton’s Pond 45 mins away west) It is well worth the walk along the River GreenWay (Trent Valley Way) to Barton in Fabis. If you park at Clifton Village why not walk down the Grove to here, then back along the river Path to 'Colonel Clifton's Pond', it really is worth it. This Cache has the Theme of “The Temperature” what you do is log your visit as normal, then check the Temperature, write this and the time in the log, also do the same here. We then have a record of the Temperature. This can be a busy Bridleway for Walkers, Riders, and Runners. In the fishing season you will see many Anglers along this stretch of the River Trent, look out for Bird life too, and do look at the Fairham Brook running under the Little Concrete Bridge (see photo), you might see some Trout, don’t fall in though! Please take photos of you visit and the good ones (with you permission please state) could go on my ng11 group on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/groups/ then type ng11). http://sheet.zoho.com/public.do?docurl=oNg955zQJSPFqEgio6%2FQEQ%3D%3D&name=oEkoKFiOCGP%2BuVm31GQvyw%3D%3D
