Geocache Description:

Every cache in the Old Man series requires you to muster up just a little bit of inner resolve and go for it. Some might even consider them dangerous. If you are not comfortable with their retrieval, take someone along who is or just take them off of your to-do list.

The old man was fishing for something close to his favorite dock one day when he overshot his cast, landing his lure a little too close to shore. Subsequently, he lost the hold he had on his favorite rig and had to let it go. To this day his tackle can be seen hanging low in the bushes. But he remembers it fondly and hopes that you'll be able to get your hands on his tackle and make him a happy man again.

Based on the difficulty of finding parking in the area (off of Memorial Drive in a tiny 2-stall lot), the path to get to the cache and the location of the cache itself, I'm rating this cache the same as "The Old Man Returns". If you haven't gotten that one, you should attempt to get it and this one in tandem as it will spare you another trecharous journey.

There is a trail located at N44 15.100 W88 24.959 which will take you down a steep slope. I do not recommend attempting this cache during rainfall or immediately after as you will find yourself sliding down the trail on your backside, which I have done on a couple of occasions. Even on dry days getting down (and especially up) can be a challenge. You may have better luck decending under the bridge as there are rocks to slow your decent if you fall!

PLEASE exercise restraint when approching the cache. The area is especially sensative to foot traffic and if it gets too much, I may have to archive it. If you're with a group send one person get the cache and try to keep the others on the path.

This is a tribute cache to "sagasu", and more specifically to his old man, who logged the FTF on "The Old Man Returns" which he found after many an experienced cacher came up short. Keep up the good work old man!
