Ponder&Wander: Blackberries have significantly invaded this area along with other thorny plants. This cache has seen better days. Time to retire.

Most guard rails are constructed in a manner that provides for safer travel on the road, particularly on dangerous curves. One such curve did not have a guard rail, and years ago, we "missed the corner", careening off the road's edge and plunging 500 feet down into the bottom of a ravine. It was a miracle that we not only survived, but were basically uninjured.
There are a few guard rails that raise the question as to why they are where they are. As you approach the cache site, you'll see such a structure. Is there an answer to this one?
The cache may or may not be in the rail itself. As many have learned from Rey DelRoble's "Guardrail Series", there are many ways to hide such a cache, more than were presented in his series. Now that we are "experts" at locating such caches, there is no need to describe any more detail about "guardrail cache placement".
The title of this cache refers to the guardrail, which we believe should have been placed up the hill and farther west.
Happy hunting, and watch out for those horses. Bring your own pencil or pen.
Lot's of DNF's on this one; however, don't worry. The overhead line clearing crew took out much of the vegetation which included the old cache. The new cache has been placed in a more obvious location.
