NOTE: The series is now starting at the $200 level since the $100 level has been archived.

Welcome to “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” – the geo edition. Your hosts for this game are Team nosaj and mjb007. To play you will need to answer questions starting at the $100 level on various subjects to determine the location of the $1,000,000 cache. If you answer 15 questions and find the associated caches then you too can join the likes of John Carpenter and Dan Blonsky.

Like the better known television version you will have 3 lifelines, so use them wisely. You will be on the honor system concerning usage. "50/50" and "Ask the audience" will be supplied along the way, and of course you get one phone a friend.

Before we go on, the fine print.

  • As in the online game, remember this is only for fun. No actual prizes or money are award for playing. Of course trading prizes is encouraged.
  • Unlike the online and television games where you sat there, this one will require a good bit more effort. Total hiking for all stages is in excess of 10 miles, assuming you get all of the correct answers.
  • Keep in mind that the direct path is not always the best. Most of the hides are within 200 feet of the trail but not all. Also hides don’t always lead in an orderly fashion, where would be the fun in that.
  • There is nothing hidden at the incorrect answers. If you can’t find the cache at your chosen coordinates, you have two choices.
    1. Search some more, we tried to change up the hiding styles, sizes, containers, etc. to keep it interesting.
    2. Try one of the other coordinates. Maybe you don’t know as much as you thought about the subject matter of the question.
  • The first couple of lifelines are provide in the hints on the geocaching website. That won’t always be the case. If you need a lifeline, you might want to study up on alternative ROT encryptions, 13 is an easy but unlucky number.
  • These are all in the woods, Little Bennet is a great park but there are undoubtedly ticks, poison ivy, snakes and horse byproduct. This is in no sense of the imagination a Psycho cache, but be careful.
  • Please bring a writing implement as not all caches have them, some paper and please don’t remove the laminated question card. If you need one of the paper copies feel free, but leave the laminated ones.

We hope you enjoy.

So, in the immortal words of Regis and Meredith…. "Let's Play Who wants to be a Millionaire."
