These caches follow the "rails to trails" line called the Chaparral Trail. This end of the trail is between Celeste and Merit in Hunt County. I parked on CR 1089, just off of 1091. It was dry when I put them out, and there are no obstacles on either end that would block you. Therefore, I drove the Jeep all the way. I could see where it might get a little hairy if it was muddy, but I didn't have any problems. Just use your noggin!
Okay, I accidentally cursed in front of my kids today while putting this one out. The cache itself isn’t that amazing. It’s your basic camo’d peanut butter jar, and BYOP. But here’s the scoop: as we were easing along the trail putting these caches out, one of those Gator four-wheelers appeared. We had a couple of guys driving, beverages in hand. But on top…that’s where the party was. Two pretty girls…sunbathing topless. So the cuss word slipped out. I shot the breeze with them for a minute – for obvious reasons. Who knows how close these coords will be…my mind was wandering. Good luck!
