Geocache Description:

Short hike to the cache from the road nearby. Do not drive on school property to park.

Here is my first attempt to hide my own cache. This cache is located near Rutland School, in Rutland, S.D. but is not on school grounds. Permission was granted for the cache to be placed at the location. Easy walk to this one from road but be careful and look out for young muggles during school hours.

I went to school at Rutland and played high school football on this field and have lots of great memories. Some of the best nine man football teams played on this field and in 1989 the Raiders brought home the state championship. Football brings the whole community to this location on Friday nights in the fall. The lights can be seen from miles away and significantly increases the population of Rutland to watch the Raiders play.

The cache is an ammobox with room for trade items. The cache has been filled with some great swag and if you take an item please leave something behind for other geocachers to find. Enjoy the cache!
