Another cache brought to you by a member of the
USCGA
This cache is located on a small lake in Cherokee County S.C.
This cache is part of the L.E.G. Challenge sponsored by the Upstate
South Carolina Geocachers Association (USCGA). The purpose of this
series is to take you to a number of different caches located in
the Upstate of South Carolina. All the caches in this series are at
least a difficulty of 3. These 10 caches can be completed in any
order. Once you find this cache there will be a letter on the log
that you will need to record. The letters in the L.E.G. series
spell a unique word. Once you’ve found all 10 letters, you may
proceed to the “L.E.G. Bonus Cache”. To complete the “L.E.G Bonus
Cache”, you will need to decode the cache coordinates using the
letters. Upon completion of all 10 L.E.G.s of the series and
finding the bonus cache, your name will be posted on the USCGA
website. This series is sponsored by the USCGA. You will need a
kayak or a canoe to locate both stages of the cache. Parking at the
coordinates listed above, will allow you access to a launch site.
Note: The road is a little rough. You should always wear a Personal
Floatation Device when on the water. This 1st stage can be found by
paddling to N 35. 05.478 W. 081.44.178. When you locate the
container at these coordinates, inside you will find the
coordinates to the final stage. The last stage is fairly obvious
once you are close. The final stage will have a log book, and one
of the the letters you will need to locate the "Bonus Cache" in the
L.E.G series. There is a FTF package in the cache, and also a few
PFD whistles, please take one for your vest. Congratulations to
RASJ on the FTF !!!!!
