Disc Man Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

cmuchristianguy: Well this cache's run has come to an end. With 3 straight DNFs and it's probably going to be a long time before I come back to Mt. Pleasant, I am going to have to retire the cache.

Geocache Description:

This is a letterbox hybrid, therefore it contains a hand carved rubber stamp. The stamp is NOT a trade item, please do not remove it. This was planted as just a letterbox in March 2006. It had to be moved to a new location because of flooding and I made it into a hybrid. Whoever finds it first in this new location, can count this as a first to find (FTF).

I recommend following the clues to find the cache and using the coordinate if you need to, once you get to the final clue.

You can park at the Disc Golf Parking lot (CMU Lot 60, it's a free lot, see a CMU map for lot location). This is a small parking lot, so on a busy day it may be full. If so, there are plenty of parking lots near the hotels close by.

The Clues
==========

Once you have parked you need to locate the map of the CMU Disc Golf course. There will also be boxes to pick up score cards. This is where your journey to find Disc Man begins.

Follow the paved path in a direction away from the disc golf parking lot.

Soon you should come across a Railroad Crossing sign. Disc Man is always cautious as he crosses the track. So should you be.

You will soon have a choice to make. Keep this in mind, Disc Man always like to keep the pond on this left hand side.

You will evenually come upon a pathway that heads into the forest. Disc Man used to live in those woods, but his home was flooded away, so instead stay on the path and cross the bridge. Some trolls use to live there, but Disc Man threw a disc at them and they never returned.

After the bridge, look for Disc Man's front porch light. The nearest tree hangs over his home. Find Disc Man.
