R U Ready? Traditional Cache
smrich: I searched around GZ and about 100 feet down the nearby stream and no sign of the ammo can. I was thinking about replacing the cache however the area has become more over grown, even for me. Thanks to everyone for coming out and finding it.

This should be a fairly easy cache. You’re looking for an ammo can placed near the Edison Angels Softball complex (and the new Edison Township Soccer Facility). Suggested parking is available at: N40º 31.326 W74º 25.593 with a short walk around the soccer fields. Closer parking may be available, but the “park at your own risk” rule applies. (I'm not sure if Rutgers’ campus security will allow parking along Campus Road 2)

If you come to find this cache while there is a softball game being played, you may hear the girls shouting a cheer before the game that asks each player on their team if "Are you, are you, are you ready??"
I have two daughters that play or have played on the near by softball fields. As a softball parent, we’ve traveled from New York State, out to Ohio and as far south as Tennessee and numerous spots in between. Many of these years were BC (before caching). Now when we go to tournaments I first check to see where the closest caches are. Unfortunately, a lot of them go not found due to the time constraints around warm ups and playing times. This cache is for those cachers that need to grab a cache along with the “guaranteed” 4 games minimum played on a weekend. If you’ve found this cache because of a softball game, please include in your log the name of the team and town you’re from.

This cache is also located on the border of RU – Rutgers University. If you look through the trees you should be able to see some of the nearby university buildings.
Cache contents includes: log book with pen/pencil, one of twocat’s The Clue TB, a United for Diabetes TB, one geocoin, my penguin TB, a bunch of Rutgers items (pencils, magnetic frog (sort of looks like Signal with a Rutgers shirt on), small pennant, basketball) and other small toys. There are also a few softball related items too.
There is a NJ Lottery ticket – Hidden Treasure – in the cache for the FTF.
