Geocache Description:

Nice flat park area. Wheelchair accessible. Cache container extraction is another story.

From where you sit at the cache site, you can look into to the center of the park area where you will view a nice example of a California Black Oak. The fire fighters won't mind. You may even want to bring a picnic along with you to eat at one of the tables. The California Black Oak is a deciduous tree, typically growing from 30-80 feet in height and from 1-4 foot in diameter. Large trees may exceed 120 feet in height and 5 feet in diameter. It grows from one to several vertical roots which penetrate to bedrock, with large, laterally spreading roots extending off from vertical ones. It also has a number of surface roots. You can see an example on one near the cache site. You will definitely need to bring your own writing instrument for the log. This cache is only large enough for the log, period. Stealth may be required depending on time of day.
