Geocache Description:

This cache is a 3 stage multi that takes you on tour through Lambton Park, located in the west end of Toronto. The park borders the Humber River bike path, and contains walking paths and a small forest of Oak trees. Mark your starting point which is likely the arena parking lot. After finding the cache, you can continue along the path (making a loop) towards your starting point. Stage 1 will take you to the upper edge of the valley where you will find a 7 digit number, and a convenient spot to sit down and calculate the coordinates for stage 2. The number is now painted over, but still easily visible. Stage 2: To calculate the coordinates for stage 2, take the first three digits of the number and divide by 1000. Next, add this amount to the minutes north of 43 degrees from stage 1, and then subtract 0.464. You now have the latitudinal coordinates. To determine the longitude, take the remaining 4 digits, and again divide by 1000. Add this amount to the minutes west of 79 degrees, and then subtract 2.161. Follow the path to stage 2 and stay left to find the path down into the valley. Stage 3: While traveling to the final stage, you will pass by the "lookout" point at (N43 39.779, W079 30.653) where you can get a nice view of the downtown and Humber River valley below.
