This cache allows you the opportunity to explore Creech Woods which form part of the Forest of Bere. The footpaths in the forest are currently undergoing maintenance and are very rutted in parts so care is needed (hence the slightly higher than usual terrain rating). Wellington boots will probably be needed for a while longer. Keep to the recognised paths until the last 25m when you will need to cross a small ditch to reach the cache.
This cache was originally placed on 29/03/07 but it has taken me until 11/07/07 to get permission from the South East England Forest District. I hope everyone can now enjoy the walk around these woods. The route to the cache is almost circular and takes you back to the recommended car park.
When originally placed, the cache was an Ammo Box containing a logbook, pencils, 35mm film, rubber stamp and several other small items. Due to it being taken, the cache is now much smaller.
13/5/12 - Cache moved a few paces from co-ords but with tree cover it should still be found.
