The May 12, 2007, SCGA Statewide Meeting will
be held at the picnic shelter at the Colleton County
Recreation Complex in Walterboro, SC, at 1:00
PM.
Earlier in the morning, there will be a
CITO with FRED event,
CITO With FRED IV, sponsored by the Lowcountry Geocachers, to
do our part for Stewardship Day. After the CITO, we will meet at
the recreation center for a pot luck lunch. Please
note what you plan to bring. For those that can't make the
CITO, please join us at 1:00 PM for a great lunch and
meeting.
For those of you with other scheduled
obligations that day, please note that you are more then welcome to
come and go as you please. This will be a fun event to meet fellow
Cachers from all over the state. As always, raffle prizes, TBs,
coins, etc...are welcome. SCGA T-Shirts will also be available for
purchase.
There is an eleven(11) stage, 4/4 multi cache,
Wildfire Challenge that is at this recreation center so please
come and see if you are up for the challenge. There are also 25
other caches within 25 miles of the rec center, so come do some
caching in the Lowcountry!
The ammenities that the Colleton County
Recreation Complex has to offer include: basketball,
baseball/softball, soccer, tennis, handball, weight room and gym.
There is also a large picnic shelter and picnic tables to sit down
and have a relaxing meal outside. There are also several small
playground areas. There are around 3 miles of trails to hike
on.
