This is located in Oil Creek State Park and is one of 4 waterfalls with in the park.

GREGG RUN Also known as Pioneer Run, this little valley was one of the busiest areas during the oil boom. Some of the biggest yielding wells were from the Pioneer area. A popular well was the Sherman Well, yielding 1,500 barrels of oil a day. This area was one of the last areas to be developed in the oil region. Here, the sucker rod coupling was invented by J. W. Innis. It was the first to use vacuum recovery. Beautiful and regenerated now, you will only see pieces from the past as you hike through the area. Businesses, wells, refineries, and homes covered the hillsides. Look around and you will only find the foundation to a couple of the homes and maybe the remains of a refinery. In their place are wonderful wildflowers, trees, ferns and a 45’ waterfall.

This is about a 1/2 mile hike to get to the falls.

On the way to do this cache- do Pioneer Ice Houses, they are on the same road.
