The Brecon and Abergavenny Canal runs 42 miles from Brecon to Newport, Gwent.Snaking through the Brecon Beacons National Park, the 'Mon & Brec' is one of the prettiest canals on the waterway system.
The canal passes through a World Heritage Site, which also contains industrial landmarks such as the Big Pit Mining Museum.
The first in a series of caches to be placed along the canal.
Original contents of cache include a TB, Geocoin, altimeter, various bank notes and coins & other small items.
due to the on going works on the canal the best place to park is in the village of Llanelly and then follow the footpath from grid SO 23277 14839 to the cache.
