Ever wished you could find a lake that few people have visited
and have it all to yourself? Well, here's your chance! Located a
short walk off of the Ice Age Trail this small kettle lake has no
houses, no roads, landings or even trails leading to it! It is a
prime example of the numerous kettle lakes that dot the area,
remnants of the massive ice sheets that once covered Chippewa
County.
Located south of County Road M, this can be a stand alone cache
or found in conjunctuion with the "Ice Age Trail Loop" mystery
cache. This is leg 2, and the clue "DEF" will be found inside.
To avoid some swampy and brushy areas, please use the following
waypoint as a guide as to when to leave the Ice Age Trail and start
heading towards the Lost Kettle.
Cache is located on State property. Notification form has been
submitted and approved by the West Central Regional Headquarters of
the DNR in Eau Claire.
