IronHorseReviewer: Greetings from Geocaching.com

It looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from hiding new geocaches around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Therefore we are archiving this cache so that someone else can place a cache in the area and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. If you haven't done so already, please pick up any remaining cache pieces as soon as possible.

If you are in the process of replacing or repairing your cache please e-mail me in response to this archival, and I will assist you in getting your cache re-listed if possible.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and look forward to seeing your caches up and running in the future.

Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden in the Ashland Cemetery and is based on the legend of “The Crying Lady”. Once you find the cache consider taking it back to your car to sign the log and then return it. This is b/c the cache is near the road and homes in view. You may also find a "Good Fortune Card". If you find one still there take it (and if you are superstitious at all) something good will work out for you the following week. If you are not superstitious at all perhaps consider it a neat keepsake.

Once inside locate the "Crying Lady Statue" This is a memorial statue (possibly made of cast iron) of a woman seated and in mourning. At her feet is the resting place of Ferdinand and Elizabeth Fischer. The statue is said to be of Elizabeth who passed away years after her husband Ferninand. As you visit the site have a seat next to her on the stone bench for a moment of silence in their memory.

Be sure to check for tears streaming from her hollowed eyes. Legend in the area is said that on certain occasions, not only is this statue near impossible to find(as if it changes location), but once found you may notice actual "tears" falling from her eyes (and not just when it's raining)
Maybe this will be your chance to see them.

This cache is also a letterbox. Please bring an ink pad and stamp if you have one!

Pay your respects to little Fredia Louise Bryan Born 1924 Died 1925
Her resting place faces the cache. Please place the cache back as you found it and use stealth! Good Luck.
