Geocache Description:

A Regular cache near Ground Zero, Jefferson, MA. You will need an offset (below) to solve this puzzle.

Jefferson, MA is a village in the town of Holden (Est. 1741)and in the past has been known not only for its mills, but also for a ski area! From 1945-1955 one could ski a 1000 ft. ski run and summit by a rope tow. Original cost for a full day ski ticket was $1.00. Ground Zero-Jefferson is located nearby this long-forgotten ski area.

NOTE: The coordinates listed above are for local parking for the cache but are NOT for the cache itself.

To find this cache, you must project a Waypoint 3913 ft at a bearing of 274.63 degrees from Parking. Access to the cache will be through the Wachusett Reservoir Watershed (Quinapoxet Zone) on bike trails which are easily passable. No dogs are allowed. There is mild trail elevation which may deter some small children.

The cache is an ammo box located within 100 ft. of the trail. While in the area why not explore some of the other nearby quality caches. NOTE: The cache is located in a designated Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) multi-use area. Hunting is allowed, so please wear orange blaze during hunting season. No hunting is allowed on Sundays.
