Geocache Description:

The above co-ordinates take you to the municipal cenotaph, that archetypal symbol of the New Zealand town, in Kaitaia.
The cache itself is located at a distance of 1.5kms from this point.
Con of Conton comes from this place and almost all of the people whose names appear on the memorial are related to her. The Herekino-Whangape area is her homeplace.

To obtain the co-ordinates and find it you must solve the following puzzle.
1. How many plaques commemorating WWI are there on the wall? This number-3=A
2. How many plaques commemorating WWII are there on the wall? This number+4=B
3. How many flagpoles are there on the wall? This number+3=C
4. On the 1914 - 1918 plaque, how many names are there of people from the Herekino-Whangape area? This number-11=D
5. On the 1939 - 1945 plaque, how many names are there of people from the Herekino-Whangape area? This number-6=E
6. From both wars, how many names are there of people from the Herekino-Whangape area? This number-14=F
7. How many flagpoles are there at the site? This number+1=G

The final co-ordinates are:
S35 AB.CDC E173 EF.G22

The cache is a translucent coffee container. When hidden it contained a logbook, pencil and sharpener, a bicycle repair kit, Greenpeace playing cards, a Barnardos NZ keyring, a crescent spanner, a bar of soap, a yoghurt pouch and Gambly the Travel Bug.
