Tiger Tribute Mystery Cache
Froggie GR MI: We tried to retrieve this earlier for achiving but the cache was frozen in place. Even today we had to do some digging and prying. And the spot looked so well protected [:)]
Time for this one to go since the Tiger team looks different now. Thanks to all who visited and signed the log. The cache "log balls" now have a place of honor on Box Score Geek's memorabilia shelf.

It's spring in Michigan and that means DETROIT TIGER BASEBALL! Let's look for a mighty roar to follow last year's powerful performance. This cache is within 20 feet of walking areas. It is a puzzle and is NOT at the listed coordinates. Do not look for it at night.
The Tigers were awesome in 2006! Who would have guessed that Placido Polanco would be the ALCS MVP when it looked like he was out for the season in September. And Pudge Rodriguez...what an anchor! The 2006 players resembled former Series greats like Lou Whitaker in 1984, and Willie Horton and Dick McAuliffe in 1968. During the 2006 season Craig Monroe came through with many clutch hits. Then there was Magglio Ordonez with his walk-off home run to clinch the American League Pennant. What a victory! The smooth play of Curtis Granderson echoed slick fielding performances of Tom Brookens and Norm Cash in earlier decades. Hurlers Kenny Rogers and Joel Zumaya came through with outstanding pitching at key times reminiscent of Jack Morris' crucial wins in the last championship season. Then how can you forget the great Hall of Famer, Al Kaline. As he took the mound and threw out the ceremonial first pitch, he looked fit enough to take his regular position in right field again, 38 years after earning his World Series Ring.
Thanks Tigers, for restoring dreams last season. Let's make them all come true in 2007.
