Geocache Description:

For those of you who haven't heard the story, it's a sad tale of mystery and mayhem. While going back to one of Rain or Shine's evil caches for a second look, I sunk down so far in the mud that I couldn't get my boot back out. I had to leave it in the mud! Fortunately I had my good caching buddy along, SeeSea. She was kind enuf to go back to the car and get my shoes, while I stood on one foot and enjoyed the rest of my eggnog latte. I will have to say it was a well spent $14 for the chuckle. I can't believe that there are many cachers who can say that they left behind footwear while caching.

As I am slow getting around to most things, Odder has beat me to the punch. She has taken her shovel (with DP4C's help) and rescued the other boot. It now resides at LaBambas Boot Takes A Walk On The Wild Side. So you are able to log both boots! If you are desperate for a free pair of rubber boots (used only once), they are both available without having to wrestle me out of them.

In the boot you will find items that any well supplied cacher likes to have around. Log sheets, containers, batteries, and baggies. There is also a LaBamba signature item - a custom made book mark - first one available in a cache. (You can use it to book mark your puzzle books) I think that there is also an unactivated geocoin. For the life of me, I can't remember which one it might be. Please email for help getting it activated.

Please leave boot somewhat upside down, so the inside stays dry.

Good luck and thanks for visiting Survivor...

4/6 - Have gotten reports of biting ants. Keep an eye on the small ones. Remember, "caching is not for wimps"
