Ngaio Valley (Wellington) Traditional Geocache

DUE TO THE CONSTRUCTION WORKS IN THE LOWER GORGE ACCESS THIS CACHE FROM EITHER TREISSICK CRES OR HANOVER STREET IN WADESTOWN. YOU CAN ALSO ENTER FURTHER UP THE VALLEY FROM WAIKOWHAI ST NEAR THE RAIL BRIDGE.

Enter the gorge lower down the valley and find Powder Magazine and then stroll up the gorge on a well formed track to this cache. To do a round trip you can continue up to Windy Waters. After finding Windy Waters it’s a short stroll down the hill to where you may have parked your vehicle. You will need to allow around 2 hours for the round trip. This area is poplar with muggles walking dogs. If you don’t have enough time for the round trip there are several entrances to the gorge further upstream. When originally placed the cache contained: The Saco Outlaws TB Gingerbreadman Geocoin Jigsaw Plastic Furby Log Book Pencil and pencil sharpner.
