Park with 2 stages to it,slight slope.Please keep off the rocks on the foreshore as they are slippery,no need to go there unless youre off to the other cache in the area.
Incredibly this park is designated as a road! According to the local historian(who lives next door) this park was a road called Hall st. Long ago, the road was removed when the level of Queen st was raised,but no one told the map makers who show the street there,but no park.
This park did exist closer to the sea where you can see the remains of the old changing rooms.
The first stage is a table ,find a plaque with a date on it,use the date to find the final cache position.
Use the co-ordinates that got you here-& change just the last 3 numbers ---S36 49.115 E174 44.715
For Sth double the first no. of the date & add it to 115.
For East add the 4 nos. of the date together,double that & subtract it from 715.
The cache is a 1 ltre sistema container slightly camod & contains the usual trade items,logbook, pencil etc.
