Ceci n'est pas un parc Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

scottru: I had checked the cache after some of the Feb DNF's and found it intact. I went back today, though, and with the garden going in and the overgrowth to the fence, getting to the cache will either be tramply or will disturb the new work going on - and since I don't live down the street any longer, I can't help manage that as a neighbor.

In other words, cache all done. Thanks all!

Geocache Description:

A number of maps (including occasionally Google & Yahoo Maps) label this area as "NE 60th Street Park." If you Google that phrase, in fact, you'll find references to it online.

An optimist might look at it this way: some time ago, perhaps in the Schell regime, someone looked at this space and thought - yeah, it's close to the freeway, but there is some land away from houses, and maybe we could put some grass and a swingset or something and please the kiddies. So they drew up plans, and they were so sure they were going to build it that they put it on the map. Then, ummm, something happened.

A pessimist might... well, I'm not a pessimist, so who knows.

All I can tell you is this: this ain't no park. Don't bring your kids to the swingsets here. You can bring them to find a cache, but this isn't the Funnest Place on Earth, and avoiding thorns and climbing around weeds may not be their idea of a sunny day. That said, no bushwhacking needed and you can park/bike/stroll very close to the cache.

You're looking for a bison, hidden from plain sight but shouldn't be hard to find. Coordinates are good and signal seems strong, though I have had interference in the area in the past.
