Notton Wood was originally planted for its commercial value and is now a local Nature Reserve which has been enjoyed for its woodland walks for a number of years.
Within the wood there is apparently a late prehistoric settlement site.
The wood can be reached on foot from Notton Village, Lee Lane, New Royston and from Keeper Lane, Notton. Limited parking is available on the roadside on Keeper Lane, Notton.
This cache can be completed as a 2 hour walk with the other Notton Wood caches.
The Abbledy cache is also close to this cache.
