Park at N 45 51.237' / W 089 04.426' Sam Campbell Trail head. Nicely maintained trail to cache. About a 1.0 mile hike to cache. Parking can be found closer to cache but you'll miss the journey. I'd rate it a 2/2 on difficulty/terrain if you venture any closer then where I've recommended.
Cache is a container that sits off the ground. Winter friendly to an extent. Lots to find in the original cache, including Sam Campbell book, first to find pin, ATV Travel Bug. This hike takes you through The Sam Campbell Trail system within the National Forest. As you approach the cache site, you'll see an area of forest where the pines have never been cut or burned. This site is what the author Sam Campbell refers to in many of his writings.
