Cache is locasted in Savage Forest. Access is from Accident via Accident-Bittinger Road to Fratz Road which dead ends in the State forest. Park at one of the gas heads and enjoy a hike along a game path through the woods. You can also walk through the open area next to the woods but due to briars it is easier to take the woods route. Be sure to wear orange during hunting season!
If the Fratz Road approach looks too dense there is an alternate way to the cache. Take US 219 north to Bear Creek Road and follow your GPS from there.The cache is a red, white and blue ammo can and contains a variety of goodies including a roll of wheat pennies. First pick goes to the first to find. Please replace the can so it is not seen by the occasional hiker or hunter passing through. After finding the cache make sure to walk to the edge of the woods and enjoy the valley view below. Cache is Ranger approved.
