A round circle city park with benches and a large granite boulder with the names of the seven Challanger Astronauts who lost thier lives on January 28, 1986. Dedicated by the Lake Placid Jaycees May 30,1987.Also has a Memorial to Veterans the five branches of service of W. W. 2. Donated to the Town of Lake Placid by the American Legion on July 4th, 1985.The bricks for the plaque are from a hotel that was built in 1925 and demollished in 1981 just a few blocks away.Plenty of benches to sit and rest under cool oak trees.
Parking is across the street on the south side at the Lake Placid Memorial Libary or City Hall.
