Geocache Description:

The co-ordinates are actually for a different cache. For this cache you will need to find Acton Instructions first. And then you act on the information.

Just pause before you start looking for the cache. Look at the bridge – perhaps you have already been underneath to look even closer.

The Acton Swing Bridge design was based on a 1893 design for Town Swing Bridge by J.A.Saner. His paper (No.3203,dated 23January 1900) was published in the I.C.E. Minutes of Proceedings. It describes how he placed the empty shell of an old boiler under the centre of gravity of Town Bridge which enabled one man to turn the bridge by hand through 90° in 30 seconds.

OK, you can look for the cache now. It is a small lock-lid container with a logbook, pen, pencil and pencil sharpener (please leave these in the cache) and a few little bits and pieces to swap.
