Geocache Description:

A lovely stroll along the beautiful Loose valley. There may be cows in the area of the cache, they are friendly.

Park in Loose village by the Chequers pub, pop in for a drink on your way home.

Take the path along the middle of the stream. At the end turn right onto an unmetalled road called Kirkdale. After the houses on your left, turn left.

This cache has been an active letterbox on the Dartmoor bounders website at www.ian.kirkpatrick2.btinternet.co.uk since I placed it in the summer of 2005 (I can't remember exactly when.)

The Cache is a very small plastic container inside a slightly larger plastic container. It contains a logbook & a rubber stamp, if you would like to take an impression of the stamp please bring an ink-pad & your logbook. If you have your own rubber stamp please leave an impression on the logbook in the cache. Please remember to bring a pen/pencil if you want to write in the logbook.

As the cache is so small I would rather people didn't leave toys/key-rings/knick-knacks in it. I maintain the cache regularly & will remove any thing that I find.

You may however leave small geocoins or travelbugs so long as the lids of the containers close properly once they are inside.

I hope you have fun & enjoy the scenery. Stiggy73.

P.S. The clue below is for old fashioned people such as me who believe that using a map & compass is far more fun than just following a battery powered box. Those of you using GPS should find this cache easily without additional help.
